Casshern
Soooo it's Mech time... and I missed the Anime week so I decided to combine the two with CASSHERN! An anime about a guy who punches robots. BONUS.

Laputa-Cheat
So I know this is kind of cheating since I did this years ago, but c'mon, still one of the coolest mechs of all time. I started this sketch at the Ghibli museum in Mitaka Japan, and finished in when I got home. Mostly oil pastels. I hope you like it, Dove
The Animatrix
So, I was originally going to do an EXO Squad illustration, because I loved the show and the toys--but then I remembered the haunting Animatrix short "The Second Renaissance: Part Two" and I was sold. I'm still trying out this style, but I'm not sure it's working for me. Any suggestions would be great.

Destroy
Rover the Sentinel is becoming one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Universe. Mainly because I want a Sentinel that will do my bidding. And the only word he says is Destroy. So not really a Mech but totally awesome! So enjoy!

Dangerous Days
Alright so for starters if you're a true fan of blade runner you get the title of this piece, that's right people I'm throwing easter eggs into the post. Anyways I decided to do Gaff, aside from being awesome in the movie Olmose in an interview actually said he saw the performance he did as Adama in BSG as a direct sequel to the character of Gaff which is awesome.

Forced Mashup
I feel like this may be cheating, combining last week's theme with this one, but I couldn't help it- those damn lightsaber umbrellas in Blade Runner make me laugh every single time.
In other news, I have had not internet for days and thus have been forced to hijack my parents' computer. I am six.

Blade Runner - Part of Harrison Ford Month (ha!)
Another theme that I'm not familiar enough with. I started watching Blade Runner the other year, but couldn't get into it. I need to give it another try cause drawing this was a blast! I probably spent more time on it than I needed to, but I was having too much fun playing with ink.
Blade Runner
Ah Blade Runner. On my top 5 list of all time favorite movies of all time. I've seen it at least 25 times? (I used to just play in rotation). And if enough of you want to buy my art, I will someday have enough money to buy a replica of the gun Richard Deckard uses in the movie. And if you haven't seen this movie, you are a silly goose-a-paloosa.
Dove
Also, see here for more Dove Blade Runner goodness.

Pris
Didn't turn as well as I would have hoped, but neither did the movie. i like the actors and the genre, but not the movie. Sorry guys. Though I will say the design of the police car has been ripped off more times so many times because it is awesome.

Collectin' Bounty
I really hope no one's done this already. I thought of it last night, cracked up, got very little sleep, and still thought it was hilarious, so I drew it. Maybe I'll submit a tighter version to Threadless or something. Hope ya like.

Star Wars Baby
It's always ever about the slutty Twi'lik dancer or warrior. What about the rest of them? Just wanted to try something different--I know the series is Star WARS, but we need the human element too:)
I Whip My Air Back and Forth
Seriously late on this one. Before doing this, I thought I'd give the show a shot. The whole thing's on Netflix.
...it's flipping awesome.
It really is a fascinating show. Sure, there are plenty of eye roll moments, but it's on Nickelodeon. Part of the territory. The story is great, and the world is fascinating. And watching benders duke it out is just plain sick. Having watched it now, I can already tell that the movie would upset me. The casting looks like it's a complete train wreck.
Well, I didn't throw full colors on this. Didn't throw final lines on it either. Just having fun. Not sure if it's worth finishing. What do you guys think?

The Empire Strikes Dove
I had to struggle a bit to figure out what to do for the Star Wars week. I mean there's just so much I could do with films that pretty much ruled my ENTIRE childhood. So I decided to go classic empire, hope you enjoy it.

Starkiller
So rather then go the traditional route I opted to go with Starkiller who for those of you who don't know is the main character for the Force Unleashed video games and seriously should have been the focus of the prequals. I also opted to go with a far more sketchy inking style just to see if I could pull more energy from the piece.

Rhino Smash!
Princess Leia - The Pants-Less Wonder
Wow - there is SO much to choose from when the topic is "Star Wars" - my childhood. In the end, however, I had to go with a clean pencilled Slave Leia.
It's my goal to color this, all nice and airbrushed, but for now, you get to see it as it was drawn.

He's Got The Glow
lil ani is all grown up. (and kudos to anyone who gets the movie i'm referencing in the title) gonna do one more of these if time permits.
Padme
This costume was the best part of Episode 2, sadly. Love her legs and torso in this one and I tried using those prismacolor markers. Turned out nice, I think.

The White Rabbit
So because Mr. Sevy is awesome and has been nice enough to let me join you guys (!), I decided to try and take a shot at a spiderman villain this past week.... and of course end up picking an uber-obscure one that nobody's ever heard of. Whoops.
Anywho! This is Lorina Dodson, aka the The White Rabbit, aka When Bad Costumes Happen to "Good" People. I tried to improve her costume a bit (try being the key word there) but bunny ears or no, I still find her a cool character. She's exactly how I like my villains: lethal with just a note of hilarious desperation. Huzzah.

Gatchaman
Thats right...I'm back! With a little Gatchaman for your ass. Oh, whats that? You don't know about Gatchaman? Well just ask your mom about it. Cuz I told her all about it last night. BOOOM!!!!
Who you gonna call?

Venom
You can't do Spiderman Villains and NOT do Venom. Yes, I'm a child of the 90s, but he's just so *cool* looking. So, managed to get this done while at my table at HeroesCon over the weekend. Lots of fun had.
