"Holy DC trinity redesign, Batman!"

Decided to try a drastic redesign and lop off the iconic ears and go with bats more spawn-like and a female more literal robin, and catwoman somewhere in between.

Superman more Jesus/god-like, perhaps a bit older and though you cant see it the idea was he's got a giant diamond style s down his torso and it continues down his right leg and left arm, with an offset cape. batman more batlike with the helmet and semi nightwing inspired outfit and wonder woman with a semi rogue like outfit with a hood. besides ww i was really disappointed with the actual designs.
process was a bit different this time too, gray markers then digital colors. fun to experiment.

Street Fighter Manege

so there's some small costume things that are off, just left and right things, but overall i think i captured the energy very well. did this for the periodic heroes blog. vega was always my fave.
ps: street fight er 2 the anime is what got me started on anime - so good. the jean claude movie is so bad its good, the rise of chun li is sooo bad its just really bad - james how can you not like the games? esp vs x-men/marvel? those are the best. havent played the new one though.

Princess Mononoke

I don't know why this movie gets so much crap, its my fav Miyazaki movie by far. evil super powered Ninjas, demons, sword fights, giant talking wolves, constant dismemberment - what's not to like, esp for guys.

Didn't turn as well as I would have hoped, but neither did the movie. i like the actors and the genre, but not the movie. Sorry guys. Though I will say the design of the police car has been ripped off more times so many times because it is awesome.

Padme

This costume was the best part of Episode 2, sadly. Love her legs and torso in this one and I tried using those prismacolor markers. Turned out nice, I think.

I defiantly grew up with the yellow, light blue and gray batgirl with red hair hanging out the back, and Jose Luis Garcia Lopez artwork in general, who until recently I always thought was Neal Adams. I know this probably doesn't count but I thought I'd post it anyways.

Always sexy, first started to like her from the Generation-X live action pilot in the 90's.

One of my fav characters in the marvel U. Though I love the black costume with white tennis shoes so much more than the red, even the yellow and red was awesome, though impractical. With the red suit its basically like drawing Silver Surfer with horns, lol.
