Monster Mash!

I wanted to do a Monster mash up, but Dracula and the Creature from the Black Lagoon didn't stand up as well as these three (check my blog to see yourself). My wife and I had fun watching some great horror films this Halloween season (Bela Lugosi's dracula, Boris Karloff's Frankinstein and Bride of for the first time!). Anyways, hope you had a good Halloween.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

So, I love Halloween. I mean LOVE it. It's my favorite holiday (take that Earth day!). I wanted to do a whole series in this style for the month of October over at my regular blog, but I was only able to get through a few films with my busy month. So, here are pics from some of my favorite Horror Movies.

Note: all these were done with a brush pen I was playing around with. Some fun effects, all in all.

Old school HORROR!!!

So here's an old school horror movie that I loved as a kid.
(side note here. I know that the rant to follow will make me seem like an old man complaining about the next generation, but in all fairness to me,... well, I am old, and dang it things have gotten weird.)
I know the image isn't bloody with gore for gore's sake, but it was cool. When did Halloween become an excuse for ladies to dress trampy, and everyone to bath in blood and carnage? Bring back spooooky halloween. And now that I have kids, I can't even take them to a Halloween store, because it's filled with nightmare inducers, like demon babies eating baby body parts!
