We love The Captain

I did this on the request of David Allan Duncan at HeroesCon this year. Love me some Captain America, and I believe it is the second time I've ever drawn him. The first time is below it, not quite as nice as the top, but it was done at Megacon MANY years ago. Dove

Cap taking his licks...

I haven't drawn Captain America much, though he is my favorite Marvel character. This wasnt drawn this last week, I know I suck. But I thought if I have fairly recent art (within the last couple months) that is appropriate to the theme, then I should post it instead of nothing at all like I have been doing.

Lets get Avenger-ing

First up we have Captain America, the TRUE first avenger, I love Bryan Hitch's work in that first comic of Ultimates, which is probably why I keep using the script for sample pages, it's just perfect, and the best part of that entire thing is this design coming out of the whole thing. Drawing this cap is always time consuming but the end result is always just visually awesome. So here's the deal with this guy, he's also going to be a print for Baltimore Comic Con. Obviously all I have are pencils right now but if you're interested in one just let me know, inks will be up soon.
Next up we have Deadpool, yes yes this guy is played out as hell but I wanted something that wasn't just heroes standing around looking like badass's so we have good ol' Wade Wilson rocking the cowl and those wonderful boots. I swear this one is coming in color soon.

Avengers Assemble!

So, I've been trying to work out an Avengers composition for months but have been hitting a brick wall. The other night I was sketching around and figured out if I did the piece as a double page spread (measuring 17 inches high and 22 inches wide), then I had something fun.

Unfortunately, that meant a LOT more work than a regular piece. But I was excited (and stupid) enough to give it a shot. It took me the better part of two days to complete this, but here we go!

What do you think?

PS - Can't wait for the movie.

Cap

i did a few years back, i meant to put scenes of 9/11 behind him with his shield on the ground. the top one was for jaimie d of cgs at supershow.
