Atom... BOMBSHELL!
I don't think I have drawn Atom Eve before but it was fun playing around with color and such.
Happy Black History Month
INVINCIBLE
Ah as per usual I can't get my coloring to work, go figure. I did really want to color this one, hopefully I can get it figured out and reposted. Anyways I love Invincible, stumbled across is when the compendium came out and it has very quickly become one of those things I run out to buy each month. if you aren't reading it, START! And as an added prize for this week I'm including the sample pages I did from an Invincible script not to long ago.
Allen the Alien
I often describe Invincible like this
"Imagine you were around when Spiderman first appeared (most of the people I am around were not around then, myself included) and you new this character was something special." Even though superheroes have been done to death, this book brings new stuff. It's really great. And somehow it is able to be SUPER violent and somehow not seem gratuitous. Anyway, of all the characters I chose Allen the Alien, one of the few true hero souls in the book. enjoy.

The Best Superhero Comic In the Universe
So, if you're not reading Invincible, stop right now, click on the link to the side, and BUY IT. Seriously, I was so surprised what Robert "Walking Dead" Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, and Cory Walker did with such a simple, tired concept as the teenage superhero - because it's amazing! It's funny, scary, crazy, romantic, violent, and all around awesome. Just buy it.

Thundercats Hoooooaaaa!
Okay, I know this blog is a chance to spotlight our own work, but something I love to see around various galleries and sketch blogs are artist's unique interpretations of the same property. Especially when they break the mold.
For all of us that LOVE Thundercats, I think you'll get a kick out of these.

Thank God for the new Thundercats.
I think it has totally redeemed the franchise. Don't get me wrong, I was raised on the original, and my sons still play with my action figures. But wow, the new show is really good. Also I'd like to introduce a new up and comer to the blog, my son Brody. He did his own Thundercats image. Look out boys and girls....

Piece by Piece..
I wanted to spotlight each of the cats, then put it together into a larger combined image. These were done for my blog earlier. I still want to take a crack at the new versions. I love Dan Norton's designs on the new show.
